I have severe mouth pain... I went to doctor this morning after week long soar throat that has now spread to my cheeks tongue and pallet. They couldn't get definitive answer and strep negative, not mono cause I had when 19, now 34. Can't swallow or eat anything without severe pain. I have large white bump on uvula(dangly thing) and on back of throat, but now my entire mouth is turning whitish. They put me on steroids and antibiotics this morning, but still no change. I need to eat, can anyone help? I'm afraid that doctor assistant I saw doesn't fully know what to do.
