I Have Pain In My Left Lower Groin Area Below

I have pain in my left lower groin area below my beltline that is a dull ache (between my stomach and left thigh area). The pain subsided for a few days and it has returned. The pain has been present for three weeks. I initially thought I just had a strain. There is no bulge which would be indicative of a hernia. What is the most likely cause for this dull pain? Thanks.
