I have been using tampons since I started my period. I haven't had any vaginal problems until recently after having sex with a new partner. I had painful blisters and ulcers along with a vaginal discharge. I went to the doctor thinking I had herpes. I was tested for many STDs and all came up negative, however I was treated for Herpes and gardnerella. After sypmtoms cleared up but didn't go away I went to the doctors again and was retested. Again all STDs were negative but I have high staphylococcus bacteria. I'm still not sure what is wrong with me but I am on my period using tampons and the blisters seem to be coming back. Are tampons causing this?
