I have been taking Claritin for seasonal allergies and stopped taking it in June. A few days later, my neck and the skin around my eyes started itching. My eyes were started to swell shut. I went to the doctor and they put me on steroids. Took care of the problem. A few days after I completed the steroids, I had the same itching and swelling issue that I had before. I was on travel for my job so I worked with over the counter anti itch cream and Benadryl because I couldn't get to my doctor. I also started taking Claritin again. Symptoms went away. So last Monday I stopped taking the Claritin again and 2 days later, the itching and swelling started as before. I woke up this morning and my face was very swollen. I stopped any new facial products after the June incident that may have been responsible for the reaction so this latest reaction cannot be due to that. I am 41 and have 3 dogs and 2 cats, never exhibiting any allergic reactions to any of them. I have never presented this symptomology prior to June other than the normal spring seasonal allergies. And those symptoms have primarily been nasal congestion, never skin irritation or swelling. I am at a loss. Please help. Thank you
