I have been on 2 mg of xanax for years. My Dr retired and new dr put me on cloazeppam 1 tablet 3 times a day. I had my hip replaced in june at that time and for the past 30 years my weight was 117 after surgery my weight wwas 117 after going on cloazeppam for 3 weeks my weight went to 130 and climbing. I have nebver had such weight gain maybe 5 lbs up or down. I have chronic back pain and anxiety disorder. Besides being in pain I am freaking out bout weight gain. Dr does not think it's that she said maybe it;s my metabolism how could that be in 2 months my thyroid is fine. I am on oxycodone 10-325 4 times a day cyclobenzine 10 mg 3 x day. Always have been small waisted. Dr gave me busbar also after 2 weeks and thw weight gain I stopped that altogether. The cloazeppam is working somewhat and instead of biting pieces of xanax when i get anxious I stick to taking cloazeppam in am after dinner and before bed. I am sleeping 4 hours at a time instead of 1 1/2 hours. But the wiegt gain is freaking me out. What should I do. If this was my old dr I would be 117 hurting not sleeping great but not becoming larger and larger. I must be the 1 % that this effect, also I only eat 1 meal a day and my eating habbits have not changed at all. I can't walk like i used to because of hip but that should have no bearing. Please help Also I always had a flat stomach i don't now! i did not expect to have to pay for an answer so thanks but no thanks.
