I have a 2 &1/2 year old son. I also have a 16 and an 18 yr old son. Not to discredit my older boys but Ryan 2&1/2 yr old is close to genius..in my opinion.Ryan developed normally like he was " supposed" to..walked early@ 8-9 months. All his milestones were either early or right in time. Then we began to notice. He quit using words. He was up to at least 24. Words by 12-16 months. Now at 32 months I can hardly desyfer his language...and u am with him 24 hours a day. He is in his 4th month of speech therapy..that consists of meeting once a month for about an hour ..he met with a New therapist this past week..which consisted of stacking blocks and trying to get him to either say or sign the word 'more'... In that 45 minutes he was ' unofficially' diagnosed with Autism. I have done ALOT of online research and just don't see the connection. Like I said 'to me and husband' Ryan is genius..He does things that absolutely BLOW OUR minds. Please...I just need some advice..second opinion..SOMETHING...
