I Had Some Chest Pains That Started 6 Months Ago.

I had some chest pains that started 6 months ago. First my doctor treated it as muscle/ inflammation issue, chest x-ray and ekg showed normal. Pains would come and go. THen I had rotator cuff surgery and was on quite a bit of medication and didn't notice any pains. But then early April as I had weaned off of all pain medicine for my shoulder I started having even more severe pains in the very middle of my chest, at the sternum. Doctor ordered a stress test and it showed abnormal ekg results during my recovery stage.
So dr had me do a cardiolight stress test, they just told me it has an intensity shadow and they said it could be dense breast tissue or cholesterol plaque blockage. So they recommed that I have a cardiac cath or a cardiac ct scan, the nurse said both tests are equally good. I opted for the cath since it is done at my local hospital and the ct scan is only done in the hospital about 1-1/2 hours away. How concerned should I be. I am 42, birthdate is 5/8/73, never had any heart issues before, but grandfather died of a heart attack in his 70's. My dad had a stress seizure years ago and later passed away from colorectal cancer at age 57. My mom has high blood pressure and high cholesterol and diabetes and had previous blood clots. I have the Factor V laden gene but never had any blood clots. I have had several mammograms because they usually question them and call me back for ultrasounds but it ends up being dense breast tissue or a cyst that goes away on it's own. I am on medication for depression and anxiety and for acne. I have empty follicle syndrome and have never been able to have children which I heard puts women at higher risks for health issues?? Any thoughts.
