I Had My Gall Bladder Removed In 2007. Since Then

I had my Gall bladder removed in 2007. Since then I have had infrequent bouts of severe vomiting and dry heaves. This usually happens at night. It's not from the flu because there is no fever or body aches. It only lasts one night and I feel weak but ok the next morning. I cannot find any reason for this, it comes on very suddenly. Could it be something common after gall bladder removal?
