I had an injection in my neck & in my lower back 3 days ago. Afterwards, about 10 minutes later, all the muscles across my shoulder blades on up cramped up tight & gave me tremendous pain. This was not ever mentioned as a possibility. One of the nurses told me that this occurred quite often but they were not to mention it in order not to put ideas in the patient's head. They gave me a muscle relaxant but the pain did not ease up for 6 hours. Now I am still feeling poorly and the injection site is exquisitely tender, especially if I try to bend my neck up or down. Is this within the normal limits of reactions? They told me that I could have up to 3 injections a year, but after this experience the thought of going through this again is daunting. I live in Ketchikan, AK & flew down to Seattle for the procedure. What do you advise?
