I Had A Retinal Detachment Repair With The Gas One

I had a retinal detachment repair with the gas one year ago, after 4 months I went in again because the initial reattachment failed, the surgery was repeated and this time silicone oil was used, after 4 months of healing and blurred vision from the repaired eye, I went in to have a cataract removed and lens replacement done. Subsequent to the lens replacement, my vision although crisper, where I should see straight lines such as the wall lines in the house, there is a wavy distortion and it seems to me at least to be in the centre of the eye, everything was blurred previously but everything was not distorted, what is the possible cause, and the long term prognosis, this has been a year long ordeal and I am not too happy with the outcome, if there is no improvement from the current condition of distortion..
