Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a kidney transplant back in 1997. My health isn't the greatest. I have had my gal bladder/appendix out(02). AC/DF with fusion and a Foramintomy on my c5-c6 of my neck in 2012. Had a Thyroidectomy last year Feb 2015. and several other minor surgeries since my transplant. am about to have Total Knee Replacement surgery on March 21st 2016 and my Orthopedic surgeon has been very reluctant to the surgery because of the risks. He has told me several times I could die. Since you're are an Orthopedic surgeon yourself what can you say about this? Is it really that risky? My Nephrologist, Cardiologist, PCP, and Endocrinologist are fine with this. I am very nervous and a bit scared but I can't continue living with this pain.
