I Got Burned Very Badly At The Beach 2 Days Ago. What Is The Treatment For This?

I got burned very badly at the beach 2 days ago. I use sunscreen liberally and often as I don t want bad things to happen to my skin but the sunscreen I brought was expired so it did nothing. I am in immense pain and can barely move, I am weak, and if I get too hot it feels like I will throw up. What s your advice?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
If the symptoms are very severe, then you should report to your doctor. Topical cool water treatment does help or else even calamine lotion can be used. Avoid going out in the sun till you feel better. In cases in which symptoms do not subside with these treatments, you shall need certain oral antihistaminics as well. Discuss it with your doctor.
