I am very unhappy with the treatment my son, Leif A Borgen is getting. I have no idea who the Neurosurgeon handling his case so I can't inquire directly. Leif is my son and had two aneurysms, 1 on each side of the brain and 1 ruptured while the other is broken with blood entering the brain in late April. Several moves and he is finally in a Rest Home in Killeen TX. Insurance seems to be the leader in the choice. Today Leif was transported to Temple for a scan or some other test involving the use of dye. None of the doctors chose to tell my Daughter-in-law what the results were and there was no doctor provided to her for any details. Leif was transported back to Killeen. The original discussion had us positioned to see a "loop with wire" isolating the aneurysm. Perhaps no operation, however an Intern volunteered no such procedure could be performed. He said the risk was to high, he further volunteer that Leif would never regain is short term memory! Not the advice that had previously been provided.
You can tell I am operating from a position of frustration. When I was in Temple at the beginning of the injury, we experienced the same failure to communicate - had a meeting with someone in Customer Relations but we were soon moved on. I again am searching for an alternative involving Legal Risk, so guess I will have to hire an attorney just to get information and perhaps learn to whom we need to be talking to in this case. With 47 years experience, certainly you might have some advice for me.
