I am scheduled to have a total thyroidectomy next week due to nodules and Hashimotos. My family has a strong history of thyroid cancer; therefore, the doctor believes it is best to remove it all together. I am getting scared ready all the reviews online about Hashimotos and recovery. I am hoping the prognosis is better than the reviews. I am miserable at this point and figured that maybe being on a balanced medical regimen that I would feel better afterwards. Any thoughts?
