I am a 54 year old male, 5'8", 190 lbs. For a good 5 years years, maybe closer to 10, I have had a small lump on my waist at the top of my butt. Seemed like a cyst or something where dirt had gotten under the skin. Since then it goes almost completely flat and then sometimes grows bigger. For the past few days, it has been bigger than usual and has been red and is slightly painful if I push on it. I have a doctor's appointment in 10 days. Should I seek emergency care before then?
