Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 33 yr old male. I had protected sex and unprotected oral (both received and given) with a sex worker on 24 July. 1 week later I noticed some rash like stuff on my glans. I am uncircumcised, so not sure when the rash like stuff came. The doctor swabbed it and said not herpes. I had frequent urination and small itching at the glans. Then he gave azithromycin 2 mg. Now the frequent urination is gone, but the rash like stuff on my glans is still there and some occasional itching is present. I visited a dermatologist and he scraped some skin from glans and tested and said not a fungal infection. Since the glans doesn't have any fluid filled blisters he is saying it's not herpes.
1. Now since it's been a month without the said blisters can I assume I haven't been infected with HSV?
2. The genital area of both of us, was washed with soap before and after sex and receiving unprotected oral. Does it reduce the chance of STI?
3. Risk of transmission of HIV in this case?
