I Am 64 Years Old And For A Few Months

I am 64 years old and for a few months now I have severe pain in the joints of my shoulders and pain in the upper arms. It bothers me mostly when I lay down to go to sleep. I recently had blood work done and uric acid was fairly high in my blood. I know uric acid causes gout in joints like feet and hands but could this be causing the pain in my shoulders?? Tylenol won't help for long and it is just about unbearable at times!!! Is there anything that i COULD TAKE TO LOWER THE URIC ACID IN MY BODY?There are times when the pain is 9 out of 10. Many sleepless nights!
