How Will The Burning Welts After EKG Be Cured?

I had an EKG done about a week ago and the electrodes left red itchy burning welts. i was told to put a cream on it to help, but it has not doen anything and they are not getting better. How long will it take to go away, or what should I do? some of them are breaking open into raw sores.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such skin lesion might not be due to EKG electrode or the electric current running through this but this could be hypersensitive reaction due to electrolyte gel used for good conduction and such reaction may be self limiting still "Diphenhydramine lotion" can be tried and this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
