General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In your situation I really need to know why are you taking this drug? For palpitation or tachycardia or angina or do you have any ischemic heart disease. It's important because studies has done for gradual or sudden abrupt of this drugs.

As far the information you provide it seems to me that you are taking this for tachycardia. There are very low percentage of having new onset of angina. But if you already have angina or underlying ischemic heart disease then there are more then 15 percent risk of worsening of the angina. But many patients feel rebound tachycardia after quitting this drug but gradual decrease of dose decline the chances to the half.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
