Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My brother has tumor in his liver. He is sixty, not alcoholic and not smoking. Doctors diagonised it carcinoma. we went to take second opinion and third opinion. Surgery is not possible, Chemotherapy also not possible. He had severe pain in his stomach. All said he has life expectancy from 3 months to 1 year only. We went to a speciality hospital for treatment. They did many tests but unable to identify whether it is originated within the liver or from elsewhere. They are not even sure whether it is cancer. Doctor has advised to take PET scan, but it will happen only on 10th April, we will have to wait for another 11 days. Meanwhile he is eating a fruit which has some good medicinal value. The leaves (of this fruit tree) are boiled and this water is being consumed thrice a day.He has good relief from the piercing pain now. Will the PET scan help him identifying the decease? (Patient is diabetic too). What treatment can he undergo?
