How To Treat Throat Hurt While Coughing?

hi. i have had a virus and was coughing super hard and hurt my neck/throat it hurts every time i cough now. right near the larynx just on one side if i put pressure on it when i cough and sort of hold it in so to speak it minimizes the pain . could i have caused an injury?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of throat hurt while coughing which seems you have residual respiratory tract infection and your immunity is lower down because of infection. Need not to worry. Avoid intake of outside food. Do warm saline gargles. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take antibiotics such as Levofloxacin and combination of decongestants and multivitamin tablet. Your symptoms will resolve in 5-7 days. Avoid touching eyes, nose again and again. If your symptoms keeps on persisting the visit EMT specialist once and get vaccination done.
