How To Treat Thickened Endometrium While Having Hypothyroidism?

Hi, I m 52 years old and still getting my period; however, few weeks ago my Gyn told me I have thick endometrium and need further sonograms if this is due to perimenopausal. I do not have children but had an abortion at 18 and a miscarriage at 41 due to heart palpitation medication. Also, I have hypothyroidism. What is my best option for treatment? Thank you!

Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic
Regarding your diagnosed thickened endometrium by your physician with a history of abortion and miscarriage I am suggesting that you have a condition called endometrial hyperplasia (benign tumor of the endometrium) possibly due to high estrogen level

Yes you need further definite diagnostic test in addition to the sonogram and this include
Endometrial biopsy for cytology
Hormone profile test

With the test result please see your gynecologist specialist for further clinical evaluation as well as adequate drug prescription

Moreover you will benefit from hormone replacement therapy such as primolut duphaston tamoxifen

I hope this helps Regards
