How To Treat Swelling And Pain On Side Of Head Caused After A Injury?

I fell and hit my head on concrete last night. The injury is on the right side of my head above the temple. It is swollen and painful to the touch and my head has been throbbing. It feels like it is going to explode. I m also nauseas. It s been over twelve hours since it happened. Should I go to the ER?

You should imediately go to the ER and do a head CT-scan. The symptoms you mention are due to increased intracranial pressure.
