Hi, It seems you are having an upper respiratory tract infection which can be bacterial or viral. If it is not responding to an antibiotic like azithromycin, likely possibility is that you may be having a viral infection. Most of the viral infections are self limiting and they have a definite time period of healing. Still my opinion is to gargle twice or thrice daily with warm saline water and a betadine solution. This is surely going to help you You can also take an anti-inflammatory like serratiopeptidase. It is better to get a throat swab culture done to see if there is any bacterial growth. Take care.
