How To Treat Sudden Weight Gain?

Hi. I am gaining weight very quickly and swelling. My left side is swelling so bad that I can t get my wedding ring on. I feel that I eat relatively well and exercise daily. I run 3 times a week and do cardio on the other days. I just can t stop gaining weight and swelling.

Hello,

You need to rule out hypothyroidism by serum TSH estimation because low thyroid hormone also sometime responsible for weight gain. You have mentioned swelling as well. So i suggest you check your kidney, liver function and heart function by urea, creatinine, SGPT estimation and EKG. You can continue your cardio exercise and change dietary habit after consultation with nutritionist.
