How To Treat Stomach Bloating And Mild Pain After Suffering From Constipation?

I have been constipated for about 2 weeks, I ve taken laxatives and stool softeners and only go a little. My stomach is really bloated and my right side is tender to the touch and has a dull pain sometimes. I also noticed if I press on my belly button there is a hard knot. Also a dull pain in middle of my stomach that comes and goes

The persistent use of laxative can actually worsen constipation because they affect the bowel's ability to function.

It would be best to increase your fluid and fiber intake. At least 8 glasses of fluid should be used daily. This should not include any caffeine drinks or alcohol because these cause the body to lose fluids.

Increase your daily fiber intake with fruits, vegetables and whole grain foods.
In addition you can add a fiber supplement such as metamucil, cetrucil, benefiber.
