Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there, I was doing some research about skin conditions when you popped up. I have quite regularly, sticky feeling hands. They aren t wet to the touch but are often cold and I feel like my fingers are sticking together when this starts (approx 2xper month) I eat a quite a limited diet (mainly fruit, salads, raw and cooked vegetables) and I am relatively fit and healthy. Could you please advise me on how to manage this. Many thanks
Sticky hands may be in concern with hyper functioning of the sweat glands of the palm region. There can be various issues behind the same, but most of the times it is related to auto immune changes, receptor sensitivity of hands or melanin disorders with or without thyroid dysfunction.
Therapy would be dependent upon the root cause, but following measures will help you on primary grounds: - Keep the hands dry through moderate sunlight or wearing surgical gloves when working with water - Control of blood sugar - Avoidance of high fat, cholesterol, dairy fat items - Avoid smoking or alcohol also
