How To Treat Sore Throat, cough And Throat Pain While Swallowing?

Hi,I have a cold, probably viral, with sore throat, mild dry cough, pain when swallowing and mucus in the nose. I think also my tongue is swollen, that seems strange. Is that normal? Like my uvula constantly touches the back of my tongue. Btw, I m male, 29 y/o.

Hi,

Your symptoms suggest Acute tonsillitis with allergy secondarily infected by bacteria. Self careis moderately hot saline gargles, drink hot water, avoid exposure to allergens, eat non spicy, non oily things, avoid spout and cold things. You need anti allergic, anti inflammatory drug with specific antibiotics as per an ENT doctors advice, please consult him.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
