How To Treat Sore Throat With History Of Having Strep Throat And Tonsilitis?

I've had what I can best describe as a 'sore throat' for just over a week. It mainly hurts when I swallow but it hurts in my neck and submandibular region on the left side only. It's very tender to touch. In the past year I've been treated with antibiotics for strep and tonsilitis after seeing white spots in my throat.
