Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This suggests pharyngitis / tonsillitis. Presence of white spots might suggest acute follicular tonsillitis. If no response in 48 hours of starting Z pack, kindly take him to doctor as this might need higher antibiotics after evaluation. Meanwhile, continue acetaminophen to control fever and sore throat. Also, give plenty of fluids.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
