How To Treat Severe Knee Pain Caused Due To Broken Ankle?
Stabbing knee pain after 8 weeks in cast and 4 in an orthopedic boot for broken ankle. The pain is on my right leg on the left side of my knee cap and is painful enough even with a cane to make me want to stop walking. Is this just the deterioration of the muscle due to inactivity or did I injure something else? Prior to this event I was pretty active. Thanks

If the leg is in cast then such pain is very common and this because of the restricted movement may cause stiffness of muscle, after removing the cast you must go for physiotherapy for some time and this would be very well after this, no need to worry about this, right now pain killer medicine can be tried and best option would be "Tab Diclofenac 50 mg" once in day. take care.
