How To Treat Red Rashes Around Ankles And Calves Caused After Insect Bite?
My sister and I are in orlando and notice last night she had bites and what appeared to be a rash around ankles I notice I have a less severe case on my lower inside calves and ankle. We were at outdoor Disney area last night. More burning than itchy. Look like a rash. Tiny red bumps mine more scattered hers in clusters. Any idea what this may be? I did notice a tiny black speck then stinging on my foot last night.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have red rashes around ankles and calves caused after insect bite which is due to localized inflammation. I would suggest you to apply Mupirocin ointment twice a day at infected site. Avoid itching and pricking of rashes. Apply cold compresses. You should visit dermatologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting and get proper prescription and start treatment.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
