How To Treat Red And Swollen Finger?

My finger is slightly red and is swollen and warm to the touch i am assuming there is an infection in it but thefe is no pus and no leakage the swelling is slight at least compared to google images but its deffinatly bigger than normal finger is a little stiff... should i go to the er or will it be fine until my primary gets back and i can go in Monday?

Hi,
Swelling and warmth is an indicator of infection and needs antibiotics. However to comment whether you need to go to an ER or not, we would need more information on where exactly the swelling is. If it is around the nail (paronychia), then it is not an emergency. If the joint is swollen or there is bony swelling, then you have to go to Er immediately. SO depedning on where the swelling is, You may take further decision. Hope This helped you.
