Hello,

Your symptoms of fever and vomiting are seen in numerous conditions like food poisoning, viral infections of gastrointestinal tract, gall bladder inflammation or cholecystitis, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, meningitis, and encephalitis. As your fever got subsided with antibiotics it's probably due to some bacterial infection of gastrointestinal tract.

A few causes of your weakness and dizziness are post viral weakness, post infection malaise, dehydration, and electrolyte disturbances. A few tips to recover from weakness are drink more water with a pinch of salt and sugar in it. Oral rehydration solution sachets are available as ORS and they can be emptied into a glass of water and taken.

Eat balanced and nutritious diet. Rest for 2-3 days. Have a good night's sleep. Avoid spicy fatty foods and go for more bland foods like fruits and vegetables.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Hi,

Have you undergone any blood tests? You haven't mentioned your age. It can be viral fever. Take proper rest for 3 - 5 days. Plenty of liquids orally. Take soft diet for 2-3 days. Take some multivitamins daily for 15 days. Take tab. Paracetamol if temperature is more than 99°F. Get routine blood tests done if you don't get better.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pinal Vaghasiya, General & Family Physician
