How To Treat Recurring Bartholin Gland Cyst At Home?

I have been suffering from a bartholin gland cyst for quite some time..I ve had one lanced three months ago and that procedure hurts sooooo bad. I m now looking for things to do at home since going to the ER would mean I d have to pay lots of money. This is my second one in three months! Please help

Hi there.
I read your problem & understand where you are coming from. Thanks for writing in to HCM.
However, i must beg you to refrain from indulging in any home remedies for your bartholin cyst.
Please go to a surgeon (not the ER) & get it done properly as it needs to be excised in toto.
In the interim, you may want to try an antibiotic (metronidazole)/brufen combination in the same dose of 400mg each both given three times daily after meals for 3 days. This may help resolve the issue for now.
