How To Treat Rash On Cheek Of A Baby?

hello Doctor good morning i have 7 month old daughter. she had developed a rash/ eczema kind of circular spot on her cheek. we have consulted a pediatric doctor. he said that it is because of some allergy. asked my wife to stop taking tea and coffee with milk. he has prescribed MOMISOFT-F cream. It is very difficult to find this cream in drug stores. Is this cream safe for a small bay of her age. any side effect in using this one. could suggest me an exact alternative for cream.

hello..
Eczema in kids is an inflammatory skin problem usually associated with food allergy. it is treated with least potent steroid ointments in kids below 1 year which should be relieved within 2 or 3 weeks. MOMISOFT-F is mild potent steroid cream, if i were your treating doctor i would suggest you to go for less potent steroid creams like LOCOID CREAM/OINTMENT or DERMA SMOOTH oil, as your baby is 7 mnths old. these are safe for a baby of her age. please avoid soap while bathing your baby as it irritates her skin. use moisturizing lotions after bath. these will help relieve her eczema. hope this answered your queries. thank you
