Hi there.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I have read your query.
The sudden red bleeding in the white of the eye could be due to subconjunctival haemorrhage, due to the bursting of a blood vessel in the outer layers of the eye.
There are many causes for the same, like trauma, liver disorders,
vitamin deficiency,
Diabetes,
Hypertension, bleeding disorders, infection etc.
There may also be associated
vision loss in some cases.
She needs to see an Ophthalmologist to find out the cause and treat accordingly.
If she is not having vision disturbance or headache then you may keep close watch for the same. The bleeding if not getting worse, will subside in a week.
If there is any increase in bleeding, headache, vision problems,
chest pain etc. she needs to see urgent care to rule out dangerous disorders. Also watch if her urine or stool has blood or reddish in colour. These require urgent consultation with a Doctor.
I hope I have answered your query.
Thanking you.
Regards,
Dr. Aashish Raghu
