I have been diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma. I am not a candidate for surgery. I have been undergoing chemotherapy. I underwent three treatments with Cisplatin and Alimta. The subsequent CT scan indicated the the treatment was ineffective. Subsequently I underwent a series of treatments with Gemcitibine and navelbine and the follow up CT scan indicated that the tumors had in fact shrunk a small amount. I understand that this is a good sign, just curious if you can quantify How good . I have, of course, discussed this with my oncologist and I m just trying to get as many data points as possible.
