How To Treat Ovarian Cyst In A Diabetic Patient?

Hey Doctor, My mom is a patient of high diabetes, kidney and osteoporosis . Her age is around 60. She cannot walk properly because of her weight and weakness. Recently, doctor said there is a cyst has developed in her ovaries and it is required to be removed. She has use IV for the infection disease( Tanzo). Here in Pakistan, gynecologist doctor just advising me to control diabetes and don t go for operation. Kindly guide me in this regards, Syed Mazhar Hussain Karachi, Pakistan

i have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns....
Ovarian cyst is not an emergency until it get haemrrhage or torsion....in context of your mother case directly jumping to surgery without keeping in mind the co morbidities is not a good option...
You should meet a gynaecologist and she will look into patient and also asses her for anesthesia fitness too.
Try to control her diabetes and osteoporosis.... Do look for any cardiac problems too
