This is a fat covering in the abdomen and ovary cancer spreads to it which again causes the disease to reach stomach, kidneys and liver. However the spread to liver and kidneys might also happen by blood route. For the kidneys, it is important to treat obstruction to urinary passage. This requires stent placement and if the other kidney is also blocked then stent should be put. Chemotherapy is a necessity in cancer patients. Loss of appetite is seen in many patients and this puts them at risk for chemotherapy complications. There is less choice for treatment because surgery cannot be done. Please give your mother proteins and food that she will eat. Her kidney requires attention. Please do not worry.
