How To Treat Nosebleeds In A Kid?

Hi!! My nephew is 6 years old and everytime he gets angry over something or has a tantrum, he always seems to bleed from his nose!!!! At his age I am really worried that this is always happening to him. Could someone please advice what I need to do?????

Thanks for posting in HCM.
Bleeding from nose is called 'epistaxis'. It is common in children caused due to nose picking or due to infection/congestion in the nasal cavity.
This occurs mainly due to presence of fragile blood vessels in the mucosa of nose called as 'Little's area'.
You need not panic if bleeding starts from nose. You need to pinch the nose and bend forwards and breath through the mouth for about 3 to 5 minutes. The bleeding would stop automatically.
Kindly get examined by ENT sugreon. In case the frequency and quantity is more, then the blood vessels needs to be cauterized by electrocautery or chemical cautery.
