How To Treat Misalignment Of Ribs Caused After Lung Surgery?

I had lung surgery two years ago. A one-inch piece of rib was removed in my back. My pain has never subsided. I found out a year later that my ribs are misaligned. Each time they are put back, they pop out of place again. This causes constant pain. I don t know what to do.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
during surgery a part of your ribs are excised. Ribs provide structural framework for chest cavity and maintains shape of rib cage. if rib was removed only muscles remain at their place which will not provide structural support and indentation occurs at that place. Normally this is not visible. but normally it will not interfere with respiratory function. you need not to worry about it. if you want to reconstitute your rib uou need to consult your operating surgeon. All the best.
