How To Treat Lightheadedness And Dizziness While On Buspar For Anxiety?

i feel as if there is water in my head....and there are also symptoms of tiredness all the time lightheadedness, dizzy spells....my cat scan and blood work came out normal...plus I was diagnose with anxiety...I was taking buspar for anxiety but it made my lightheadedness and dizziness worse...what to I do

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Feelings as if water is there in head, persistent tiredness, lightheadedness, dizziness etc can occur due to depression or due to mild anxiety disorder. You have been taking Buspirone for anxiety but it increased anxiety. Buspirone is an anti anxiety drug that is usually used in mild anxieties but some times it increases anxiety especially during start of therapy. As your symptoms are persistent so I would advise you to please visit your psychiatrist again for expert evaluation and treatment. Serotonergic drugs like Fluoxetine, Sertraline, Paroxetine etc are commonly used drugs for anxiety. These drugs help to reduce the anxiety when taken on regular basis. These medicines will also help to reduce the persistent tiredness you are having. Please visit a doctor for proper prescription.
