How To Treat Itchy Bumps On Ankles, Elbows, Knees And Thighs?

I have bumps that are extremely itchy on the back of my ankles, on both knees, my elbows, and thighs. I notice when I am stressed they flare up in the same spots each time and when they deflate they leave marks and they pop back up in the same exact spots every time . My dermatologist says it is eczema. They gave me a steroid cream but it does nothing. Not sure what I am dealing with any suggestions? Again they are bumps not blisters, they are individual bumps , not clusters of bumps. They go up and then they go down. Thanks

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy bumps on ankles, elbows, knees and thighs which could be due to clogging of sebaceous glands with dead bacteria and sebum as excessive glands are there. It is due to bacterial infection of lower leg area which is leading to folliculitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep the area clean and maintain proper hygiene and dryness. Avoid touching or pricking it with as it will worsen your symptoms. Wash properly with cold water and apply topical antibacterial cream bacitracin. Take oral antibiotics as well. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You can go for peeling as well.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
