How To Treat Itchy And Swollen Vagina While Having UTI During Pregnancy?

went to the doctor almost 2 weeks ago got prescribed medication for severe uti, I am on my last day of medication. i take it 4 times day for 7 days. but about 2 days ago my vagina stated to itch and it is now swelling. not sure if it s just the uti or should I be more concerned? I am 37 weeks pregnant.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to yeast infection. This can be due to changing of normal bacterial flora of vagina due to antibiotic therapy you had. In such case using clotrimazole cream ( monistat ) for local application will be helpful. You can also use intimate wash daily to normalize vaginal bacterial flora and PH.
