How To Treat Inflamed Lacrimal Caruncle?

Hi, I ve had inflamed lacrimal caruncle for about 8 days and have seen 3 doctors. 2 said allergies 1 said see an eye doctor (which I already have). One gave me an antihistamine eye drop that I used for 5 days with no change. It s not itchy and there s no discharge. It is getting bigger and hurting. Is there an OTC option that will help? Doctors are just telling me to take my allergy pills (which I am).

Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you are having non infective carbuncle and you might need to continue anti allergic but also add Ibuprofen as it is anti-inflammatory and once inflammation will settle its size will reduce too.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
