How To Treat High Fever Inspite Of Giving Brufen And Paracetamol In Children?

Hi my 8 year old son has been diagnosed with viral congantivitis since 5 days now. The ophtamologist has given him antibiotic eye drops. The eye is getting much better. BUT since 3 days he s been having high temp. 102/103 f . Iv been giving him Brufen and paracetamol. Even with the medicine his temp is 100 f . But today is the tge 3rd day. I m worried about the fever.he is losing his appetite They did a swab test for his eye and it came out clear. What should I do?

Hello,

I suggest to give him plenty of fluids, dress lightweight clothes do not give aspirin. Also, make a blood count test.
