Hello Doctor,

My child is having problem while doing potty. He is always holding his potty for 2/3 days. He is facing pain while doing potty after 2/3 days as usual that potty become so strong. Could you please suggest us what to do.

Im sorry your child is having this problem. It is very common. You will need to increase the amount of fiber in the diet. This will soften the stools and make the experience much easier. Additionally, you will have to set aside a regular time each day to sit on the potty. After a meal, like dinner, is usually a good time. These two strategies should help accomplish out goal, which is one soft bowel movement per day.
