How To Treat Fluid Retention ?

Yes ,thank you. My husband had celbral stroke in march.3rd one in 2yrs ,only found out he is a-fib ,seen cardio dr and Nero dr. A-fib meds given to help the rythm but fuliud retention bad. Always 164ish all life 238now at 61yrs old can t do nothing ,left hospital on 20water pill increased to 80 now still getting bigger ,I m afraid he going to drop of heart attack ,seeing family dr in morning any suggestions to relay to look at or meds to look at

Dear Mrs,

Your husband should take medications his doctor has prescribed. Also you should know that he should take small amounts of fluids and decrease the quantity of salt taken as low as possible.
If after that he will have fluid retention his doctor might increase the dose of diuretics (water pills) or ad another diuretic.
