Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Is there any fever? What is the colour of fluid in the lump? This might suggest an insect bite reaction. Usually this will respond to antihistamines and analgesics for few days. I used to give Ibuprofen and Hydroxyzine for such cases. If associated with fever, or not responding in 2-3 days, there is chance of secondary infection requiring antibiotic treatment. Your doctor will guide you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
